More public time?

Posted in CF Writing, News, Research, Sited work, Texts by chrisfremantle on November 30, 2010

Thanks to Alison Bell for drawing my attention to the following quote from Rebecca Solnit,

‘Landscape’s most crucial condition is considered to be space, but its deepest theme is time.’

My understanding of Solnit’s words has more to do with the personal interaction than social engagement. By that I mean; on a low key level, a quiet level of watching, time is invisible and relentless, irreversible and knows no boundaries, has no heart or soul, no pity only ……what?
    Landscape is time.
